How this reading unfolds

A reflective practice, not a fixed prediction.

Set a question, draw ten cards from the full 78-card deck, then explore the reading. Each card goes into the next position automatically. The cross holds six connected perspectives; the staff adds four further viewpoints. Your interpretation and choices remain your own.

Explore the positions
  1. Present

What in this card’s themes describes something you can actually observe in the present?

  2. Challenge

Read this upright theme as a tension, task or balancing force. What response is within your control?

  3. Past

Which earlier experience echoes this theme, and what can you carry forward or leave behind?

  4. Unfolding

If this theme develops, what could you notice or test next? It is a possibility, not an event promised to happen.

  5. Focus

Does this theme reflect an aspiration, assumption or priority? How well does it fit what you need now?

  6. Roots

Consider a habit, need or assumption beneath the surface. What evidence helps you recognize it?

  7. Your stance

What attitude or action in these themes can you choose to strengthen, soften or reconsider?

  8. Around you

Connect this theme to observable circumstances or available support, without assuming you know another person’s thoughts.

  9. Hopes & fears

How might a hope or fear shape your reading of this theme? Separate what you imagine from what you know.

  10. Possible outcome

If present patterns continue, what direction does this theme invite you to consider? Your choices and changing circumstances can alter the course.

A few things to know
What is a Celtic Cross tarot reading?

A Celtic Cross is a ten-card layout. This version uses Present, Challenge, Past, Unfolding, Focus and Roots in the cross, with Your stance, Around you, Hopes & fears and Possible outcome in the staff.

Does the possible outcome predict my future?

No. Treat it as a possible direction to consider alongside your choices, circumstances and real-world information. The cards cannot guarantee events or reveal another person’s private thoughts.

Is the crossed card reversed?

No. Position 2 is rotated sideways to cross position 1. That is its layout, not a reversed meaning; position 2 always uses the upright reflection.

Is this free reading written for me by Mira?

The free tool combines the site’s general card meanings with prompts for each position. It does not analyze your question or generate a bespoke reading. A personal written service is a separate choice.

Can I return to my reading?

In the same tab, your question, cards and notes can be restored from session storage for up to two hours from starting. Clearing, expiration or unavailable browser storage prevents recovery. No personal question is put in the page URL.
