Mindful Introspection & Self-Discovery
At The World of The Fool, we approach cards as reflective mirrors for self-discovery. Dreams in Shadow brings a curious, imaginative perspective to this practice through its interplay of light, darkness, and expressive characters.
Try a daily card pull to notice which detail catches your attention, use a three-card spread to explore different sides of a question, or turn an illustrated scene into a journaling prompt. Let the imagery support personal interpretation and creative reflection at your own pace.

Your first reading
The Dreams in Shadow Tarot Deck is a 78-card tarot deck printed on 400gsm coated cardstock, featuring dark whimsical illustrations, blue moonlit landscapes, and expressive storybook characters for self-reflection, symbolic exploration, and creative journaling.
Vivid blue light cuts through black silhouettes, bringing crooked castles, wide-eyed animals, and curious figures into focus. Familiar tarot scenes take on a gothic fairy-tale atmosphere, balancing eerie settings with playful expressions and unexpected details.
For readers and collectors drawn to illustrated storytelling, the artwork offers plenty to notice: a black cat perched on a wheel, a solitary lantern bearer, and a smiling moon above winding waterways. These scenes provide visual starting points for exploring questions, recording impressions, and imagining different perspectives.
Thoughtful Craftsmanship & Design
The illustrations combine deep black, electric blue, and pale highlights, with occasional warm accents. English card titles and delicate white corner ornaments frame the scenes.
The card backs feature a symmetrical arrangement of blue, light blue, and white flourishes with stylized eye motifs against a dark background. The illustrated storage box has a separate lift-off lid and features a black cat sitting on a wheel, echoing the deck’s mysterious, playful character.

Questions & answers
-
How can I check the card size before ordering?
I'd compare this deck's listed measurements with a deck you already own. Tarot and oracle decks don't all come in the same size, so use the dimensions on this item rather than another listing.
-
Are the card count, language and guidebook the same for every deck?
They can differ from deck to deck. Check this item's card count and included pieces, and please ask me if you need a particular language or guidebook detail confirmed.
-
What should I check if I want to carry the deck?
I'd start with this deck's box size and closure. If it needs to fit a particular bag or sleeves, tell me the measurements so we can check the detail that matters to you.
Delivery & returns
-
How long does delivery take? I need it before a specific date and I'd rather know now than after paying.
Our ritual objects and artisan decks are thoughtfully produced and hand-inspected in our dedicated Asian studio and printing partners before embarking on their journey to you. Orders are usually dispatched within 3–5 business days of payment. Delivery then usually takes another 7–14 business days. If this is for a birthday or another fixed date, tell us the date first—we can help you judge the timing, but I wouldn't promise a guaranteed arrival day.
-
Is shipping included, or is it added at checkout? The two prices I'm seeing don't match.
For US delivery, standard shipping costs USD $7 for orders below USD $99. Free standard shipping applies to orders from USD $99 (or local currency equivalent at checkout). Available destinations, applicable rates and the final charge are confirmed at checkout.
-
What happens if it arrives and it's not what I expected? I don't want to be stuck with it.
You can ask for a return within 14 days of receiving a physical item, even if you've opened the packaging. For an ordinary return, you cover the return postage. If it arrived faulty, damaged or incorrect, please let us know—that's a different situation. Email thefool@worldofthefool.com with your order number before sending anything back. The full policy explains the conditions and your statutory rights.
-
My order arrived with a damaged item. Do I send it back first?
Please email thefool@worldofthefool.com with your order number and a few details or photos. Don't send it back just yet—we'll review what happened and work out the right remedy, which may be a refund, replacement or reshipment.
